Using Video To Promote A Dentist Practice
It’s already a given that having a visible website presence on the Internet can benefit the dentist practice tremendously. But once a site is receiving pre-qualified visitor traffic, that is, potential new patients actively seeking a dentist in their neighborhood, how can you improve conversions? How can you incentivize the site so that more patients will call?
For the most part, when it comes to finding a dentist online, women are the primary decision makers for the family. They will conduct a search for a dental practice in their city, then comparison shop the many websites found in the results.
While there are many factors involved in the decision making process, the common denominator of those sites which do a better job of convincing her to call their office are those sites which quickly give people more reason to trust them.
How can a person “trust” a website?
In any relationship, a person first has to meet, then come to know someone before they will trust them. Since a website’s “call to action” largely depends upon the degree of trust you can engender in a short span of time, a professionally made, presentation video becomes a decisive factor in website success.
The person looking for a dentist online ultimately wants to meet the dentist — and eventually will — during the scheduled appointment. Using website videos, dentists can immediately introduce themselves, instill trust and provide the incentive that will help motivate a prospective patient to call their practice.
Video gives your practice an edge
If the person seeking a dentist visits several websites and yours is the only one with an introduction video, you’ll have a much better chance of them contacting you over your competitors. With video, prospective patients have already “met” you and are well on their way to knowing and trusting you.

Very great article. I have been putting up my videos on popular video hosting sites i.e. youtube, dailymotion, and have found it to be extremely useful for my clients. Thank you for this article, it reassures me that doing that is definitely worth the time and effort.

While the post is primarily focused on using video to establish trust with the website visitor early on, wherever a prospective dental patient watches your videos they can have a positive effect. Best success for the dentist’s video is realized when it’s added to his/her own website.
Thanks for your comment.

I know a few dentists that use video to promote some of their treatments, and the results are good for them. You have to be serious on those video though.

Hey John,
I’m already getting good feedback on the video you made for my site. We just got a new patient from it too. It’s working for us.
